Our Mission at Usborne Books & More is quite simple.
I am so proud and happy to be a part of such an amazing company. I am still currently working on organizing my home and office while planning out my years goals so that I can help better the future of our world. I want to get more books into the hands of children everywhere! I want to feel that I am contributing to their education and future by encouraging a love of reading . 

I want to share this business opportunity with women who want to feel that they are making a difference in the world around them, who are looking for a fun and
flexible opportunity to make money while working around their family’s busy schedule, women who want to earn free and discounted books for their family’s bookshelf, women who want to build strong friendships and relationships with like minded women, women who want personal growth, and so much more.

A few fun facts about Usborne Books & More.

-Usborne Publishing is based out of the UK.
-Usborne Books & More was founded in 1973 as the US distributor for Usborne Publishing.
-Headquarters are in Paradise (aka Tulsa, Oklahoma).
-The “& More” represents Kane Miller Publishing. We are lucky to have both Usborne & Kane Miller books in our catalog.
-Usborne Books & More is a publicly traded company and can be found under UBAM.
-Randall White is our CEO. He is a huge fan of OSU (Oklahoma State University, NOT Ohio.. lol) , plays the banjo and is often spotted in the warehouse packing boxes. 

-He has his very own Fan Club. For Real!! 

-He was given the honor of ringing the Closing Bell at NADAQ for being the #1 Publisher of 2017.

"All Better" Book Review

For the first time ever, I've found a book that our Grandson will sit and listen to me read! I was so excited as  he usually just takes his board books and dumps them out of their cases and puts them back in the case... just to do it all over again and again.

This last week, I decided to pull down a different book from my Usborne Books & More collection.  I chose to attempt reading "All Better" by  Henning Löhlein and Published by Kane Miller (the More in Usborne Books & More).  David LOVED this book!  What made this book more enjoyable to our 2 year old grandson was the 5 plastic bandages which are reusable stickers.  As I  read the story, David was able to care for 5 animals who end up with "boo boos".  Bear sits on a splinter, elephant steps on it's trunk, dog hurts his paw...   David was able to remove the coordinating bandage from the front of the book in order to care for each animal...  Just "Wash it. Kiss it. Put a bandage on it. All Better!

This is a great book to teach your little one about empathy and compassion! It keeps their interest, and is just plain fun to read. It's repetitive phrases helps a new reader become more confident in reading when reading along with mom or dad whoever is reading to them or while reading on their own.

It is also great for teaching color knowledge as well as matching skills. Each bandage has it's own color and a picture of the animal which it is to be used on.

As an added note, if the bandages loose their stickiness, just wash them with a bit of cold water and they are good as new!

I highly recommend this book for all the little one's in your life!

It's Not What, But Why You Do It

This has not been my first rodeo with a direct sales company. I tried two other times, and both times I was not very successful at it. Mainly because of my lack of confidence in myself and partly because I lacked support from friends and family. My own up-line didn't offer much support either unless you "got it".

What makes this time different?

Initially, I joined Usborne Books & More after attending my niece's online book party then hosting a party of my own. I was blown away by these books! They are fun, educational, award winning, and very interactive! Maybe I should say WE were blown away! My husband who has a degree in teaching could not believe what he was seeing with these books. We wanted MORE books to put on our book shelves for our grandson and any future grandchildren we may have. We also thought this would be a great way to add to our income so that we could help our children and work on projects around the house that need to have taken care of.

I hosted my launch party and the support I got from my friends and family was so encouraging! I received orders, I received bookings, and I had people getting excited over these books! This really boosted my confidence in myself. Confidence in myself has always been a struggle for me, so this was a HUGE boost for me.

Shortly after my launch party, I received my kit! OMG! These books were even more amazing than I thought! I now had non-fiction books in my hands and a wide variety of the books UBAM offers! I now saw first hand just how educational and well constructed these books are. This excited me even more...

I began doing more "research" online to share more and more about literacy in America and how important it is for us as parents, grandparents, teachers, friends, family members, etc. to instill the love of reading in the children around us. As I did my research, I realized just how important this mission is! Kids in America and around the world need these books. Kids need to have books in their homes, they need them in their hands in order to raise the literacy scores in America.

The more research I do, the more my "why" changes. Sure, having more books on my book shelf for reading with grandkids and the extra money is nice... BUT, wanting to get books in the hands of kids, wanting to help instill the love of reading by finding the perfect book for each child, knowing I am doing something to better the futures of my grandchildren, your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, students, and all children is what really excites me, what motivates me to keep pushing on and not give up.

So my why is to better the lives of all children... give them the foundation early in life to do well in school, improve their literacy scores, and give them a better chance to having a successful and rewarding life.
